Forecast: more freaking out -- with possibility of continued freak outs the rest of the month

Look how long my fair isle scarf is getting!

I'm going to try to show the various patterns on the scarf.

Again, this is the Walking Tour Scarf using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift.

My fussy cut stars quilt is growing very slowly since I'm limiting my EPP hand sewing to an hour or so on Fridays.

I picked up one of my pieces of framing this weekend.  It's Ann Pennsylvania Peacock by Little by Little.

Her head is a bit large for her body since I used 36 or 35ct instead of the called for 32ct.  Guess what two pieces are at the framer's?  :D

The boy child sent me pictures of Boston after the big storm this past week.

These were taken Wednesday (I think, or Thursday) after some cleanup had happened.

Mia got shut into the back room (which is closed off from the rest of the house during the winter since it gets cold back there) at one point this week.  She was not happy when I opted to take a picture of her instead of letting her in.

Yes, she's scratching on the glass.  lol!  Poor baby.

I'm freaking out yet again.  This time they are calling for snow followed by significant amounts of ice with wind.  Here's hoping we make it through without losing power.  The forecast calls for more snow Wednesday and Thursday (a small amount, just like we had this past Thursday), followed by yet more snow NEXT Sunday into Monday.  Do I see a pattern here?  Sigh.  I hope not.  (Like the title of my post?)

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week -- and this weather lets up!!  (I want to move....)

Ann PA Peacock is one of my favorite samplers and has been in my to do basket forever. Your EPP quilt is beautiful. Love the look of Mia's face put cat indignation.

Oh the snow. . .

Hi Margaret - hoping your storm is now awful. We were supposed to get snow and instead it is all rain...slushy rain. Yuck. Love your scarf -- it is going to be huge! How much longer will it be? And Ann Peacock is fabulous! Tyg scratches on our glass patio door when he wants to come in - lol.

Come out here, Margaret! We're in the 70s/80s for the next 10 days. As we say here in Phoenix "you don't have to shovel sunshine! "

Come on down! This is geranium season here and they are blooming all over. Your scarf is beautiful!
Have a great week...with power, hopefully.

Ha! It looks exactly the same outside here as the boy child's pictures.
That scarf is a real piece of art my friend.

Ann PP is wonderful, as is the colorful and wooly scarf! Best of luck with the wind, the ice, the snow, falling icicles, storms upon storms, snow banks and all manner of cold unpleasantness. PARTICULARLY losing the power--that's the worst.

Your beautiful scarf is coming along nicely as is your fussy cut star quilt. You are amazing.

I love Ann Pennsylvania Peacock and have even stitched her myself. Since this was a reproduction sampler I substituted my mother's name for Ann's.

Heard today that another storm is headed your way. Hope it's not too bad....I guess you could be thankful that its not as bad in NY as it is where your son is.

Oh yikes, more snow, AND ice! Yeah, the ice part is the scariest part. I hope it won't be as bad as they say!

Your scarf is gorgeous. I still marvel at the intricate design!

Poor Mia. That has happened to my cats. One or the other will get locked in my "studio" as I like to keep that door shut. Inevitably I will hear scratching and plaintive cries "let me out let me out!"

Keep snug!

Everything looks great, love that scarf. Stay warm and safe

I just can't imagine how you can knit so many intricate patterns with so many colors! Your knitting is just as spectacular as your needlework. Hopefully, the season will deplete itself early and the snow will be no more!

Understand the stress over snow. We have 14" and it causes so much stress for people. But it is beautiful!

Love your scarf ....great pattern. You are so talented! And Ann is so sweet....great frame.

Hang in there...spring will be here soon!

So your beautiful scarf may be as long as your total snowfall accumulation! Hope you don't lose power, but if you do, wear the scarf to keep warm and look good at the same time!

Your sampler looks so beautiful. Little by Little is one of my favorite designers.

Sparrow up next?

Hope you keep power and there is no damaging winds Margaret - I saw a bunch of photos from Boston - a good friend of mine only daughter lives in Concord - poor thing she has been snowbound with a 8 mos old child. Imagine a little FL girl in that predicament. LOVE the scarf - I have joined another Laura Aylor KAL so I am trying to put the FI out of my mind for now. Beautiful framing and the star quilt is so beautiful - keep good care of yourself - Mel

Mia scratching the glass made me smile, Poppy does that too whenever she wants to be on the other side of it. Your fussy cuts are looking good, it's a lot of sewing Margaret but it will be worth the end result.
Lovely finish with your framed piece and the scarf is looking good. Busy, busy hands.

I love that kind of 'wooly' wool. So comforting! You make me want to whip one up. Why haven't more people knit that pattern??? It's awesome!

We've gotten over three feet of snow in a week. Q@#@#$@#$ It's a *bit* much now. *sigh*

Sorry about more snow in the forecast, Margaret. We only have about 10" on the ground and it's very nice--not too much, but just enough. Our main problem is ice--today was ridiculous. My boss couldn't even get out of her driveway to make it to work!

At least you have lots of lovely indoor projects going on to keep you warm and busy :) And you can always cuddle up with Miss Mia...

Hope the snow veers out to sea!

Your scarf and stars look great! And so does Ann Peacock! Are you framing Eye is On the Sparrow? That will be massive! Hope all goes well with the storms and snow. Fingers crossed for you Margaret!!

I am guessing the Hornbook Sampler is one in for framing.

You could move here. No snow here this year or last year. But we do have all 4 seasons-just mild ones.

Though I did love Phoenix when I was down there 2 weeks ago--sigh..
Except not in the summer ;(

Scarf looking lovely, as are the stars, but oh my, I do love your Ann Peacock - perfect frame for her! Hope you don't get too much snow or lose your power!

That scarf is epic! So pretty, how much further do you have to go?
Poor Mia. So glad that she is out of there and snug with you.
Have a great week! Sorry that there is more snow...

Ann Peacock is looking gorgeous in her frame. And your scarf is a real dream. I can't wait to see more pictures of your Fuzzy Cut Stars quilt as it gets bigger and bigger.

The same snow pictures here. Fortunately we are supposed to have two days without new snowfalls before new snow will fall at the end of the week. It's only February and I have already had enough, lol.

Margaret - the scarf is beautiful! I love the patterns and colors. I have picked up knitting again in the past few years and need to try color work. this might be the project! Your sampler is gorgeous and the quilt is amazing.
Lori (have lurked on your site for a while - love all your projects!)

That scarf is amazing, such pretty colours. Stay safe in the snow - we're being promised half a metre later this week, and I'm very much dreading it.

Love your Ann PA Peacock & the frame is beautiful. Hope you are stored up on water, food etc. before the storm hits. Even better that it passes.

Ann Sampler is beautiful!
I just love the scarf and stars….nice progress.

Thanks for sharing the Boston pics! They have had one tough winter.

I too have my fingers crossed that we don't get much snow this week. We need a break from the snow.

Love Mia's little paw as she scratches to get out. Too cute.

I'm so sorry about yet another storm with wind and ice about to hit your area! Stay warm and keep working on that gorgeous scarf.

Ugh, now I want to go dig around and find my start of Ann Pennsylvania Peacock, LOL. Love the scarf and the fancy cuts.

Hope the weather isn't too bad!!!!! I tend to be a weather freak out person too :-).

Does Mia have her own heated bed/heating pad? I think she deserves one, Mom, after the trauma of being shut into the cold room! :)

I hope you make it through the next few days with no electrical outages. It's all fun until the lights go out!

Been doing a bit of freaking out myself with this crappy weather. I am soooo ready for an end to snow. Your scarf just blows me away. :)
